Children (2–12) – 50% Off

Children aged between 2 and 12 qualify for 50% off the lowest available adult fare on most routes. Discounts apply on all other routes too.

Key Guidelines:

An adult 18 or older has to accompany the child.
Children traveling alone do not qualify for the discount.
Discount is not applicable in Business Class.
Certain Thruway connecting services may not be included.
Additional restrictions could apply.

Infants (Under 2 Years) – First Child Rides Free

One accompanying adult fare lets one infant travel for free. They do not require their own seat. Each additional child, who doesn’t sit in an adult’s lap, will be required to buy a 50% ticket.

Note: If more than one child travels with an adult, a reservation needs to be made for the extra child.

Seniors – 10% Off

Any traveler who is 65 or older is able to get a 10% discount from the lowest available fare. For cross-border services, passengers who are 60 years old get the same offer.

Requirements & Limitations:

A proof needs to be shown while traveling for age restrictions.
Business class discount does not apply, nor does some select certain connecting services.
This discount cannot be combined with any other offer.
Alternate terms may apply.

Persons with Mobility Impairments – 10 Percent Off Discount

Guests aged 18 and above traveling with mobility challenged individuals travel at 10% less as well.

Acceptable proof may include:

Disability Transits System ID
Physician’s Letter
Membership Card of a Relevant Disability Organization
Medicare card if below 65
VA ID Quote Service Connected
Accessible Parking Permit for the Disabled (photocopy acceptable)

Additional Note: This offer cannot be combined with other offers apart for those which involve child tickets.

Military Members – 10% Off

Dependents and spouses of active-duty military personnel are able to avail a 10% discount on most train services. We also extend a token of appreciation by allowing in uniform military personnel to board the ticketed trains from the head of the queue.

Guidelines for the discount:

Must carry valid Active-duty U.S Armed Forces ID.
Not applicable where Saver Fares are provided, or on Business/First Class upgrades except where full upgrade fee is paid.
Select Thruway services and international segments are also excluded.
Cannot be combined with any other discount promotional offer.

Veterans – 10% Off

U.S. Military veterans from recognized branches (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Space Force, and others) are eligible for a 10% discount with appropriate identification from the aforementioned military forces

Exclusions of Primary Importance:

Excludes Business and First Class and sleeper compartments unless full upgrade fees are paid.
Not permitted on some cross-border or connecting services.
Does not permit other promotional uses.

Group fares – Sharable fares of up to 60% off for groups

Have up to 8 people on a single reservation? You’re in luck! Group travelers can now get opposing discounts per extra person added.

3 passengers: 15% off
4 passengers: 25% off
5 passengers: 37% off
6 passengers: 47% off
7 passengers: 54% off
8 passengers: 60% off

Applicable to all routes and coach seatings.
Eligible participants can book with a 2-day advance notice.
Discounts will be automatically received if the participant is eligible.

Students (17-24) – Special offer of 15% off.

Book at least one day in advance and receive a 15% discount on adult fares.

For students aged 17-24, you can claim this discount under the conditions noted.
