They do, however, need to be folded prior to boarding the train. Boxed Bicycle Check-in Tandem, recumbent, or non-standard bicycles cannot be stowed in the onboard racks. Should space be full or if your bike does not satisfy the onboard rack criteria, you may check it as baggage in a bike box. Purchasing a protective box is possible for $15 for those looking to have their bikes handled by baggage. However, most bikes will require partial disassembly to fit into the box.
