Bicycles

Bringing Bicycles Along for the Ride For cyclists, there are several ways to transport your bikes at the same time as you’re travelling. You could either be commuting, touring, or even just exploring the Pacific Northwest. There are ample options to suit all your needs. Bicycle Racks on Stations All of our trains have 10 bike racks that allow riders to maintain access to their ordinary bicycles throughout the duration of the trip. Due to popular demand, these bicycle spaces are reserved in advance. Reservations for these bike racks will incur an expense of $5.00. 🔄 Note: Also, folding bicycles that are defined as carry-on items do not need to be booked in advance. They do, however, need to be folded prior to boarding the train. Boxed Bicycle Check-in Tandem, recumbent, or non-standard bicycles cannot be stowed in the onboard racks. Should space be full or if your bike does not satisfy the onboard rack criteria, you may check it as baggage in a bike box. Purchasing a protective box is possible for $15 for those looking to have their bikes handled by baggage. However, most bikes will require partial disassembly to fit into the box. For tips on how to properly box your bicycle, other relevant advice for traveler’s bikes lies on our dedicated travel page.
